SVGedit: how to remove all elements from svgCanvas?

How to remove all elements from svgCanvas ?

I tried with :

svgCanvas.clearSvgContentElement()
svgCanvas.clearSelection();

With no success. (and if possible avoid blinking effect)

You should use svgCanvas.clear()
